Terms and conditions
These terms govern your use of quickbrain.dev and, together with the MIT license, the Quickbrain software. If you do not agree, do not use the site or the software.
The software is MIT licensed
Quickbrain is offered under the MIT License. That license is the grant of rights for the code. These terms add website rules and practical limits. They do not replace the MIT license’s copyright notice or disclaimer of warranty.
What you get
The website is informational. The software is an installer and a set of harness adapters that create a markdown wiki on a computer you control. It is free. There is no paid plan, no SLA, and no support contract unless we separately agree to one in writing.
What you must not do
- Do not use the site or software to break the law.
- Do not attempt to disrupt this website or impersonate the project.
- Do not present Quickbrain as a hosted service that we run for you. It runs on your machine.
- Do not enable the unattended nightly timer on a machine you do not control, or on a machine that holds data you are not allowed to feed to a local coding agent.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the agents, API keys, and files on your computer. A dream cycle can read local transcripts. You decide whether that is appropriate for that machine. You decide what goes in the wiki. You keep backups of the wiki if you care about it.
Existing harness instruction files are not replaced; Quickbrain appends a marked block. You remain responsible for the rest of those files.
No warranty
The site and software are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will detect every harness, skip every secret, or preserve every note.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jacob Jones and any contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from the site or the software, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or software will not exceed US $0, because you paid US $0.
Third-party services
Coding harnesses (Grok, Claude Code, Codex, and others), Obsidian, GitHub, and Cloudflare are third parties. Their terms apply to their products. We are not those companies.
Changes and termination
We may change these terms by updating this page. We may stop publishing the site or the software at any time. Copies you already have remain under the MIT license that shipped with them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Georgia have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any forum for misuse of the marks or the site.
