Privacy policy
This policy covers two different things: this website (quickbrain.dev) and the Quickbrain installer you may run on your own computer. They are not the same.
Who we are
Quickbrain is published by Jacob Jones. This site is a static page hosted on Cloudflare Workers. There is no user account system.
Questions: a source repository link will live here when the project is published.
This website
The site does not have accounts, newsletters, analytics pixels we added, or forms that collect your name or email. A theme preference (dark or light) is stored in your browser’slocalStorage under the key qb-theme. That value never leaves your browser.
Cloudflare, as the host and CDN, processes connection data such as IP address, user-agent, and timestamps in order to serve the site, absorb abuse, and operate the network. We do not sell that data. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for their processing as a service provider.
Fonts are self-hosted. We do not load Google Fonts or other third-party font CDNs.
The software on your machine
Quickbrain runs locally. The installer writes a markdown wiki to a folder you choose, plus harness wiring under your home directory. We do not operate a backend that receives your wiki, transcripts, or onboarding answers.
A dream cycle reads closed coding-agent transcripts that already exist on that machine. Those files can contain API keys, customer names, and other private data. Quickbrain’s standing rule is cite-or-omit: durable facts may be written into your wiki; secrets must not. That rule is an instruction to the agent, not a technical guarantee. You are responsible for what the agents on your machine write.
Optional nightly distillation, if you enable it, also runs on your machine. It does not phone home to this website.
GitHub
If you clone the repository, open issues, or star the project, GitHub processes that activity under GitHub’s terms. We do not control GitHub’s logs.
Cookies
This website does not set first-party cookies. Theme state uses localStorage, not a cookie.
Children
The site and software are for people who run local coding agents. They are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you have read the new version.
